The ability to interact between sellers and buyers on a common platform is what has enabled many art crafters to sell their talent without having to hit the markets manually. Needless to say, they have gained a portfolio of solutions in internet art marketing.

As software and hardware infrastructure becomes more complex, there has been a growing need to stabilize the selling of art online. Because of this, our enterprise has been among the fast growing art-communities online. However, this has not come by chance; it has been through a diverse environment of IT that the enterprise has made its name as a premium art marketplace of purchasing and selling of fine art products, both prints and originals. With integrative power online tools, our art professionals and interactive site is committed in the provision of art galleries and creative art picturesque in a timely fashion.

When navigating the protocol for online art, one of the greatest components has been building an artist’s profile page. This involves the creation of a beautifully designed web page featuring contact info, biography of the owner, press releases, upcoming events, blog, art works among many other decorative applications. Therefore, this task of profile page creation has enabled us to keep up with business demands by translating business rules into software configurations.

Our next responsibility would be to serve clients by promoting their artwork. By digital photo upgrade, customers are able to promptly design their meticulously crafted artwork pieces custom-designed to attract high search engine rankings as well as promote online art sales. By selling print out graphics and related artworks, many have been able to empower their ability to do more with little while at the same time streamlining business processes.

Creation of graphical emails has not been left behind. This form of creative art has created exciting chances for people to design HTLM emails, send and track how many people open them. Wherever possible, the emails have been customized to include other sites’ images, head shots, artwork samples among many other art applications. Ever thought about creating a mosaic family picturesque with all face grins, a powerful moment during a family outing, an exhilarating action in a wedding setting and then distributing it across as slide shows and other equally enticing fashions?

Selling art online has also encompassed promoting events. With virtually little knowledge about real-event marketing, our enterprise has opened an infrastructure in an ongoing art implementation that has helped to reinvent the way artists do business; from tackling photography, graphics, drawings and paintings to the way they monitor their purchase. Therefore, with a unique visibility in the art platform, we have helped to define a mission-critical business process that allows artists to creatively innovate and deliver art and graphic solutions-not just from their own applications and line of work, but also from other systems to help foster a company-wide environment of accountability and reliability. You are welcomed to join our community in efforts to gain substantially new approaches of selling art online.

Choosing a fitness center that has everything you need can be tough! Especially with all of the marketing they all have these days, it is easy to get suckered into a place that offers all the bells and whistles, only to find out a few months later that you don’t need half of what they offer, and you are now locked in for another year and a half! Here are some basic things you should consider before finding a fitness center that’s right for you.

First, don’t pay for what you don’t need. The gym down the street offers free classes and free use of any trainers – that sounds great, right? Well, stop and think first, do you really think you are going to use those things all the time? If classes are your thing, and you wouldn’t mind changing up your fitness routine every few months, then by all means this sounds great for you! But, if you enjoy working out alone, and only see yourself using a trainer one time, then don’t go for this option. You can hire a trainer once to show you a general workout routine and still save a ton of money not paying for the use of a trainer in the months you wouldn’t use one. Same for the classes, if you don’t use them often, use a pay as you go method.

You should look at the costs associated with any fitness center you choose. Are you paying a bunch of overhead for juice bars, tanning beds, and saunas you will never use? They may sound good now, but seriously ask yourself if you will still think the same after a few months. Do you intend to use the fitness center as sort of a second home, or are you just in to get your workout done? Don’t pay a bunch of money if you don’t intend to spend any great amount of time there. If you find that you would love to utilize the extras, then by all means, but some people only have time for a workout and that’s it. Don’t pay for something you won’t use.

You should also consider how far away the gym is from your home. Let’s face it, if it isn’t close, or at least on your route home from work, do you really think you will go? First of all, who wants to work out after working 8-10 hours a day, good for you for even trying to incorporate that! Don’t make it worse by finding a gym that is 13 miles in the other direction, finding that you have to get back in your car and drive through traffic to get to your gym. You will probably never go if you set it up this way. The best thing would be to find a fitness center within walking distance, which is great because you can get your warm up and cool down done on the walk there and home!

These are just some of the things you should consider, you should also take time to visit the fitness centers in Irvine or in your home town, to make sure they have the equipment you would need. Don’t set yourself up to fail when finding a fitness center. If you make an educated choice, then you will find you can incorporate exercise into your lifestyle very easily.

Medifast has a great online support system for individual diet tracking, conveniently located weight loss centers in your area, and one on one mentoring to keep your diet on track.

I used to feel really lost when I thought about my future. Most of my friends were going to university, and the ones who didn’t had enlisted in the military. I knew both of those choices were not for me, but I still did not know what the right choice was. I was complaining about it to my uncle one day when he told me the answer was right in front of me. He told me to click here at the eifitness website and see if anything sparked my interest. I am forever grateful to him for that suggestion, because it changed my entire life.

I saw that I would only have to have five weeks of schooling to become a personal trainer. I have always had an avid interest in fitness, but I had always considered it just a hobby rather than a possible career. I immediately applied to be part of the program, and I was accepted not long afterwards. The training was hard, but it was fun and motivational too. It was actually a bittersweet moment when it came to an end, because I had been enjoying it so much. It was good though, because I was finally able to start my career.

I had already talked to the owner of the gym where I work out, and he agreed to give me a trial run as one of his personal trainers. That was a couple of years ago, and I am now the lead trainer. When new people come into the gym and see how I have helped others in their shoes, they request to work with me. They thank me afterwards for changing their lives, but they are changing mine as well. It feels so good to help people get healthy, and I am looking forward to the day when I can have my own gym.

Because it is customary for physicians now to prescribe radiologic examinations during consultations, public concern has shifted to wonder at what levels would radiation exposure be more beneficial than harmful. The answer to this question is important because it affects not just the patients but also the administrators of these tests – the radiographic technologists, ultrasound techs and other allied health professionals involved in radiologic procedures.

Before going any further on this topic though, it is helpful to set a base for the discussion. The fact is that everyone is exposed to radiation caused by natural sources. From set estimates, an average person living in the US gets a dose of 3mSv (mSV is millisievert, the measure of a radiation dose) per year resulting from contact with natural sources and radiation from outer space. These are termed “background radiation”. The levels of exposure vary with geographical location so that a person living in Colorado gets 1.5 mSv more than someone living at sea level.

Our thanks to Walter Barett for writing this guest post. He is the chief contributing author for

Paul Martin Times and also has regular contributions about

Ultrasound Technician Schools PA and Radiology technician schools online plus a lot of other topics. Walter has done extensive research on diagnostic imaging and is now considered an expert in this matter. He has fully expressed his views in this article although they are not necessarily shared by the owners of this site.

To appreciate exposure values in relation to radiologic tests, experts have drawn up a table listing the common radiologic tests and the amount of exposure that patients get from an exam. For a regular chest xray, your exposure to radiation will be the same as what you will get from your environment in 10 days. This does not sound so bad as long as it’s kept to that minimum. The danger increases if you require more than just one chest Xray per year. This is especially true for victims of accidents, patients diagnosed with major illnesses, and individuals who belong to the aging population.

Test Amount of Exposure (mSv)/single exam Equivalent to exposure from natural sources
1.X-ray (Chest Lat) 0.04 mSv 5 days
2.Xray (Chest AP) 0.02 mSv 2.5 days
3.Xray Pelvis 0.7 mSv 3 months
4.Mammogram(4 views) 0.7 mSv 3 months
5.CT Scan (Abdomen & Pelvis)10mSv 3 years
6.CT Scan (Chest) 7 mSv 2 years
7.CT Angiography 12 mSv 4 years

The thing is, having an Xray is a medical decision, it is largely based on your physician’s assessment who has considered the benefits over the possible risks that you may experience. On top of this is the fact that the doses used for most exams are generally low, as indicated in the comparative table. This is what makes it a relatively simple decision. For tests that require higher doses such as CT scans, it is important to let your physician know your past medical history so he can gauge the situation better. Another condition that would require you raising the red flag would be if you are pregnant when other forms of diagnostic tests are preferable.

Re-used with permission from
Radiology Technician Schools In California

Now, the evaluation of the technologists’ side who administer these tests is a bit more complicated because there is no alternate choice for them. The exposure is part of their job. While there were alarming findings before 1950 when studies noted an increase of leukemia cases among radiologic techs, there are no current reports that can support the same conclusion. The current number of professional and technical health personnel that are involved in radiation therapy is estimated at 2.3 million and is still rapidly growing and it is critical to determine if they are unduly exposed to a health risk.

For starters, to ensure their safety, health professionals observe precautionary measures when using radiologic devices. It is part of the standard curriculum at Radiology Technician Schools to train their students to utilize the minimum amount of radiation needed to obtain a result. On top of this , they are also required to use safety equipment such as staying behind leaded shields or wearing leaded aprons while administering the tests.

Because they are schooled in this discipline, these professionals possibly draw their confidence in the knowledge that they have been taught – that Xrays are safe when it is utilized with care. It is produced when a switch is turned on for awhile and disappears when the switch is off. And since the amount that is required for most tests is very low, the decision is an easy one for them.

Something that many Canadians have forgotten to pay attention to is the state of our current healthcare system. With so many other worries plaguing our minds every day – everything from gas prices to job security, not to mention the spectre of the expensive war in Afghanistan and other Conservative antics – it’s often hard to find time for considering the ailing state of the great healthcare system that we’ve built here in Canada.

Canadian RN Sharon Rosewater has kindly taken the time to prepare this op-ed piece about the state of the Canadian healthcare system. She is a driving force behind the campaign to raise awareness about nursing and nursing jobs in North America, as you can see from her site on international travel nursing jobs, as well as her regular posts across the net on registered nurse duties and responsibilities and LPN jobs in Maryland.

There have been a number of recent advancements in the North American nursing system which are finally helping to reduce wait times for procedures and doctor’s visits all across the continent. The development, recognition and certifications of advanced practice nursing as an important discipline in the healthcare system has been a major advancement, one that allows patients who would otherwise be unable to get the treatment they need to see a fully qualified professional. However, there’s a looming problem.

As Canadians get more and more focussed on political issues and distracted by gas prices and the economy, pressure gets put on the provincial and territorial governments to balance the budget. However, one of the ways that they seem to feel is acceptable is to suddenly slash the number of nurses that are being hired – even going so far as to stop filling positions that are demanding nurses! That’s right – nursing positions are being left open all across the country, which is a direct step backwards from the right direction we’ve been going in. As the advanced practice nursing discipline took off years ago, we finally began to close the gaps between wait time and care access, but suddenly we’ve decided that we’re going to regress because there just isn’t enough money.

But where could that money come from? What if we were to wind down the war in Afghanistan, which

is wildly unpopular, and took that money and gave it to the provinces as a federal surplus earmarked specifically for healthcare projects? But something tells me that no conservative government ever willingly gives money back to the provinces, despite their promises of fiscal responsibility. Health care suffers, and all the great advances that have been made in the last 20 years in the field of nursing suddenly begin to disappear.

That’s my toonie, anyways.

Canada is considered as the biggest producer of vehicles in North America. Its billion dollar revenue over the past years through the manufacturing, trade and export of automobiles have given this country the right to lay claim to the title of being the third largest vehicle producer all over the world. The reason for Canada’s success in automotive industry is their ability to produce automobiles that are less expensive over units that are manufactured in the United States. Big automobile companies perceive lucrative business opportunities in Canada because they impose the lowest corporate tax and maintain low labor costs even with employee benefit programs. Moreover, the continuous success of the industry is mainly due to the presence of the society of automotive engineersand proficient workers who demonstrate excellence and quality in their work.

Since Canada has been considered as one of the largest automotive sectors in the world, it has developed areas of expertise in this field. Canadians have excellent performance on metal processing. They also have an advanced knowledge in welding, cutting, machining, casting of light metals, sheets and tubes and have proven their integrity in this kind of work. Canadians also have the ability to incorporate advanced technologies with the utilization of high quality materials in the automobiles’ design, visualization, and manufacturing. These qualities have guaranteed Canada’s superiority in vehicle production which is the reason why major automotive companies all over the world entrust their businesses in the hands of Canadians.

However, the years 2007-2008 has not proven to be good years for the country. In fact, it was during this period that the automobile industry experienced a major downfall due to the economic recession that affected the entire nation of Canada. Because of this, some of the major automotive companies went broke and weren’t able to recover. This predicament caused Canada to experience a $1.5 billion profit loss by 2009.

Today, despite the elusive state of their economy, Canada’s Conference Board is optimistic that they will be able to revive their ailing industry and is expectant of a profit showing of $1.5 billion by the end of this year. With this hopefulness in the air, the step-by-step recovery plan for the nation is bound to succeed. After all, the automobile industry’s efficiency has not been hampered by the recession. In fact, they are currently continuing their tradition of skillfully manufacturing quality vehicles, a clear indication that they are back on the road to success.

October 19, 2003

Late last week, I was on the road in Alberta when I heard of comments from Mahathir Mohammed, Malaysia’s Prime Minister directed at the world’s Jewish peoples that can only be described as hateful, hurtful and deeply offensive (I won’t repeat what he said because I believe to do so only rewards intolerance). In my view, it is important to speak out against such comments – if for no other reason than to make clear that from Canada’s perspective, this is unacceptable. It is hate-mongering and it should be called out as such without equivocation. For that reason, I was pleased to see the swift reply of my friend Bill Graham, Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.

While it may not be the diplomatic thing to do, I believe it is also
important to point out that this is far from the first inexcusable outburst from Dr. Mahathir. For years he has used language that can be barely described as code with respect to Jews. And in 1999, he had his own Minister of Finance – my friend Anwar Ibrahim – jailed on trumped up charges simply because Anwar had done his job too well and had become a symbol of hope and optimism to too many Malaysians. In other words, he became a threat to Dr. Mahathir. Since that time, I have repeatedly added my voice to the howls of international protest but to no effect. My friend and former colleague remains imprisoned, suffering and kept apart from his family.

I don’t, for a second, believe that Dr. Mahathir’s actions or language
reflect the mainstream opinion of Malaysians. Indeed, I believe that they suffer his views, rather than embrace them. Hopefully, in time and through the grace of the democratic process, those who disagree will find their own voice. In the meantime, those of us in the international community who differ must continue to say so whenever possible.

I’ve just returned from visiting the B.C. Interior and the Maritimes where I had the incredible chance to witness communities pulling together to rebuild their homes, businesses and neighbourhoods.

In the West, fires ravaged wooded communities and reduced homes to cinders and ashes. And in the East, Hurricane Juan wreaked havoc on urban centres and farmland.

What was incredible for me to see was how, despite the fact that these devastated regions are separated by thousands of kilometres, they are completely in sync in terms of their indomitable team spirit – especially when facing these challenging circumstances.

It’s been a tough year for Canadians: We’ve faced mad cow in Alberta and droughts in the West, the closure of the cod fisheries on the Atlantic Coast and SARS in central Canada. Yet in the face of these issues, the Canadian spirit has manifested itself – and showed tremendous courage.

I have realized that these stories are emblematic of the energy that Canadians embody across this landscape. There is no doubt that communities are acting with great faith to overcome challenges today. And this is drawing the whole country closer together.

That’s the kind of energy the federal government has to tap into. That is why I want to work more closely with communities and provinces to help bring this spirit to forefront.

Last month I met with United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan and former Mexican President Ernesto Zedillo to co-chair a new UN committee focused on helping local businesses in poor countries. After that meeting some Canadians asked how I could balance my new UN work with my current campaign for the Liberal leadership.

I appreciate the question. It is precisely because Canada has a leading role to play in the world, that I believe any person who aspires to be Prime Minister must help develop innovative solutions to global problems. And the ideas behind this UN committee are an example of Canadian leadership.

We are a major donor country. But we have also come to realize in recent years that the cheques we write do not, on their own, produce all the change that poorer countries need. The gap between rich and poor continues to widen. So when the UN Development Programme set its goals for the new millennium, Canadians — along with others around the world — simply had to come up with more ideas.

Our attention turned increasingly to the kind of work pioneered by people like Hernando de Soto, a world-renowned economist from Peru. Mr. de Soto argues that the poor themselves have the ability to create real wealth for their own countries if they are free to mobilize their own assets through commerce. Mr. de Soto and his peers are talking about the kinds of businesses you see when you go to a village square on market day — something I try to do, as a rule, whenever visiting a developing country.

One of the chief differences between the industrialized world and the developing world is that entrepreneurs in developed countries like Canada have the chance to grow — and in doing so they create wealth for their communities. Local businesses in developing countries, on the other hand, are often held back because there are no strong laws to protect their property, no financial markets to fund their ambitions, and no easy way to distribute, produce or market their goods on a scale larger than the village.

All of these hurdles can be cleared, which is why the UN Secretary General asked me to join Mr. Zedillo in leading a group to explore what it would take to do the job. His call, I believe, recognized Canada’s ability to lead the international community on a matter of urgent global importance. Mr. de Soto was among those who agreed to join our group.

As far as I am concerned, this effort will only be successful if it advances the cause of small, local businesses in poorer countries. It is incumbent on us in Canada, who have so benefited from free enterprise at home, to open this new chapter in international development.
